Our office is located in Village Sarabai, right near the Bhuntar area in Kullu. Being up here in Himachal Pradesh is a bit different from working in the big cities. The air is fresher, though the winters can get pretty cold in the office. We’re based in a simple building that fits in with the local surroundings. We don’t have any of those fancy glass walls or modern art. It’s mostly just wooden desks, a lot of files related to power projects, and a heater that we keep running during the chilly months. Most of us live nearby, so we know the local landscape and the challenges that come with working in the mountains. We spend a lot of time looking over plans for Himachal Consortium Power Projects Pvt. Ltd. and talking to folks from the surrounding villages. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except when we have meetings and everyone is talking at once. We take our work seriously, but we also take time to enjoy the view outside our windows when we can. It’s an honest way to make a living, working on things that actually matter for the region. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big corporate image. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun starts to dip behind the peaks. It’s a good life out here, and we’re glad to be part of the community.
