Our work is based in Shastri Nagar, right in Dhalpur. Kullu is a busy place, especially when festivals are on, but we mostly stay busy with the building projects of Hadimba Buildcon. It’s hard work getting materials up here sometimes because the roads get crowded. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers. The office is right here in Kullu. We’ve been at this for a while now. Most days start early before the traffic gets bad on the main road. We handle the paperwork and the actual site work ourselves. It isn’t always pretty, but the houses and walls get built. Local people know where to find us. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything like that, just a desk and some chairs where we talk to the guys. Sometimes the rain slows everything down. That’s just how it is in Himachal. You wait for the sun, then you get back to the cement and bricks. It’s a small team here. We know the local guys who work with us on various sites. We try to keep things moving. There’s always something to fix or a new plan to look at. We stay in Shastri Nagar because it’s a central spot for our work. It’s a good place to be. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way. That is basically us.
