Guru Traditional Ayurveda And Spa

If you walk down Club House Road toward the Old Manali Bridge, you’ll see our place right before you cross over. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. It’s an old building, but it stays nice and cool even in the middle of summer. We focus on traditional ayurveda stuff. It isn’t like those modern spas you see in big cities. We use the same methods that have been used around here for generations. Mostly, we help people who are tired from hiking or just need to sit still for a while. There’s a lot of prep work involved, like grinding herbs and mixing the oils. We do most of that in the back room. The smell of the herbs is quite strong, but you get used to it after a few minutes. It’s a small team of us working here. We don't have a big receptionist or a computer system for bookings. People usually just wander in or ask around the village to find us. The river is close by, so you can hear the water if the traffic on the road isn't too loud. We take things as they come. Some days are very busy with tourists, and other days we just sit and talk with the neighbors. It’s a good way to live, keeping the old ways going in a place that’s changing fast. We just do our work.
