If you walk down Mall Road in Manali, you’ll find us right across from the Durga Temple. It’s a loud, busy part of town, but we like being in the middle of it all. Most mornings start with the sound of temple bells and people rushing by our door. We handle a lot of the local transport around here, mostly just making sure the taxis are lined up and the visitors get where they need to go without too much trouble. It gets pretty hectic during the summer months. There’s always someone coming in to ask about a bus or a car for the day. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the schedules work out. Sometimes the traffic on Mall Road is a mess, so we spend a lot of time on the phone trying to find where our drivers are. We’ve stayed in this same spot for quite some time now. The office is small, but it does the job. We keep it straightforward—no big promises, just getting people from one point to another. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the mountain routes, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the rain makes things slow down, and we just watch the crowds from under the awning while waiting for the next booking to come in. You’ll usually see one of us standing out front or sitting behind the old wooden desk.
