If you walk down Mahatma Gandhi Marg, you'll see us at Shop No. 252. We’re pretty close to Choksi Jewellers, which is a big landmark around here in Dhar. Prashant Cycle Stores has been part of this street for a long time. It’s a busy area, lots of people walking by and cars honking. The shop is filled with the smell of new rubber tires and grease. We have cycles lined up out front and more squeezed inside. It gets a bit tight sometimes when we have a lot of stock. We spend most of our time on our stools or leaning over a frame. The floor usually has a few spots of oil that we can’t quite scrub away. It’s just the way a cycle shop is supposed to look. People from all over the district come by. Some are looking for something new, others just need a quick fix for a flat tire. We keep the tools handy. My hands are usually a bit dirty by midday, but that’s fine. It’s honest work. The sun sets behind the buildings across the street, and that’s when the evening rush really starts. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is in order. It’s nothing fancy, just a solid place on a busy road. We just keep doing what we know best at Prashant Cycle Stores and hope the weather stays clear for our customers.
