Fancy Model House

We are based in a place called Khalerdhar, which is in the Nadia district. Our shop is called Fancy Model House, though we aren't particularly fancy people. We mostly build models and architectural pieces. It’s a small operation. We’ve been in this part of Nadia for a long time. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess with wood, plastic, and glue everywhere. We don’t have a big showroom or anything like that. People who need our work usually come right to the workshop in Khalerdhar. It’s a quiet area, which is nice because it lets us focus on the details of what we are making. We use basic tools for the most part. There’s no high-tech machinery here. It’s all done by hand. We’ve known the families around here for generations. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood stop by to see what we are building. We don't have a website or a social media page. We just rely on the work we do. If someone likes a model we made, they tell their friends. That’s how we’ve stayed in business all these years. It’s a slow and steady kind of life. We enjoy the process of starting with raw materials and turning them into something recognizable. It takes time, but we aren't in a hurry. Nadia is home to us, and we’re happy to be working here.
