Shemrock Happy Tots

If you ever find yourself at the Hosur railway station, you just have to look across the way in Nehru Nagar and you will see Shemrock Happy Tots. Being right opposite the station means we hear the train whistles and the announcements all day long, which is just something we have gotten used to. The area is always moving with people coming and going from the trains. Our building is a bit smaller than the big schools, which is fine because it feels more like a house. We spend our mornings getting the rooms ready, laying out the floor mats and making sure the toys and books are in the right piles. The paint on the gate is a little chipped from the sun, and the Nehru Nagar streets can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up. We don't have any big corporate offices or anything like that, it is just us and a few helpers making sure the place stays safe and clean. Hosur has its own rhythm and we are right in the middle of it. Sometimes the traffic near the station makes it hard for parents to park, so there is always a bit of shouting and horn honking outside our door. We just ignore the noise and focus on our small rooms and the daily schedule of snacks and quiet time. It is a simple place for local families who live nearby or work near the station.
