Shanti Bhavan Residential School

Shanti Bhavan Residential School is located in a quiet spot called Baliganapalli, which is near Hosur. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but that is part of why it works for the kids. Since it is a residential school, the children and many of the staff live on the premises full-time. We have several buildings for classrooms and dormitories spread across the grounds. It isn't a place with marble floors or expensive statues. Instead, you will see vegetable gardens and playgrounds that are used every single day. Life here follows a very steady rhythm. The bell goes off for meals, classes, and chores. Everyone has a role to play in keeping the place running, even the students. It feels more like a small, self-contained town than a traditional school. We are surrounded by farmland, so it is usually peaceful, except for when the kids are out playing football. The staff here are really dedicated, often staying for years. We don't have a big marketing budget or fancy brochures. Most of what we do is just day-to-day care and teaching. Hosur is the closest big town, but we stay mostly within our own gates. It is a practical, hardworking environment where the focus is on giving the kids a stable place to grow up. Some days are harder than others, especially when things break down, but we just fix them and keep going. It’s a humble setup.
