New Star Electrical, Service Centre

We are at No. 9/1-E on West Mada Street, right near the Kuttiyappan Store. If you’re looking for New Star Electrical, just look for the shop with all the parts in the window. We are a small service centre where we fix all kinds of electrical appliances. Our shop is full of tools, wires, and old motors that we’ve taken apart. People from all over the neighborhood bring us their fans, mixers, and other things that have stopped working. It’s a bit of a messy job and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the day. We’ve been here on West Mada Street for a long time and we know most of the people who live around here. We don’t have a fancy setup with a receptionist or a waiting area. People just come in, drop off their stuff, and we tell them when it will be ready. Sometimes we have a pile of scrap metal in the corner that we need to get rid of. It’s just how a repair shop looks. We keep the shutters open from early morning until late in the evening. During the temple festivals, the street gets incredibly crowded, but we stay open through it all. We just focus on doing a good job so people keep coming back to us. There is always something interesting to fix every single day.
