Mercury Auto Equipments is tucked away at No. N-23/1 in Phase III of Sidco. If you know the Sidco area, you know it's a maze of industrial units. Our spot isn't the biggest, but we have enough room for the equipment we need. Most days start with the sound of shutters going up all along the street. We deal with auto parts and equipment, so there is always a bit of oil or grease on the floor no matter how much we sweep. It’s part of the job. The guys here have been working with cars and machines for years. We don't use much fancy language; we just talk about what needs fixing or making. Being in Phase III means we have plenty of other mechanics and fabricators nearby. Sometimes we borrow a tool from the shop next door if ours is acting up. It's a tight-knit community here in Sidco. The office part of the building is just a desk with a lot of old catalogs and a computer that’s seen better days. We spend most of our time out on the floor anyway. It gets hot under the tin roof during the afternoons, so we usually have a fan running full blast. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. Mercury Auto Equipments is just a local shop where we show up, do the work, and go home. People find us because they need parts that actually fit and work right. It’s a simple, honest way to run a business in this part of town.
