Kani Tea

We've been here in the Star Biryani Complex in Ambur for a while now. It's a busy spot near the sugar mill, and people mostly know us for the tea we keep in stock. My family started this because we liked a good cup ourselves. Most days involve just checking the bags and making sure everything looks right for the customers who stop by. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It's just a small space where we keep the tea leaves. Vellore can get pretty hot, so we try to keep the shop cool enough for the stock. If you're heading toward the mill, you'll see us right there. It isn't a complicated business. We just buy tea and sell it to whoever needs some for their home or shop. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud because of the biryani place next door, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who come in. Most of them have been buying from us since we opened. We don't do much advertising. People just find us by word of mouth or if they're already in the complex for lunch. It’s a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the neighborhood here. We just try to keep things honest and make sure the tea is fresh when it arrives at our door.
