K R P Super Market

Being at 125, Bargur means things get noisy around three in the afternoon. That is when the kids from the government school nearby finish their classes. They all come running toward K R P Super Market to buy small things. The shelves are packed with everything from soap to snacks. We try to keep it organized but sometimes things get messy when it is busy. The floor is made of old tiles that have seen better days. It is a large space for this part of Bargur. I usually stand near the front counter where I can see the whole shop. The ceiling fans hum all day long to keep the heat away. We have some refrigerators in the back for the milk and cold drinks. They make a loud buzzing sound that you get used to after a while. Sometimes the delivery guys bring too many boxes at once and we have to stack them in the aisles. It makes it hard for people to walk around for a bit. We don't have fancy signs or anything like that. People just know where we are because of the government school being right there. It is a steady flow of people from morning until we pull the shutters down at night. Bargur is a quiet place except for those few hours when the school lets out and the shop fills up with noise and energy.
