D.H.L Lemuir Logistics (P) Ltd has a small office in Hosur at the T.N.H.B. Staff Quarters on Bagalur Road. V.K. Subbarao is the person handling the operations here. Hosur is a big industrial hub, but our corner of it is quite grounded since we are based in the staff quarters area. It’s not your typical high-rise office environment. We handle a lot of the logistical needs for the factories nearby. It involves a lot of coordination and simple hard work. We spend our mornings checking on where the trucks are and our afternoons filling out forms. The traffic between here and Bangalore is a constant topic of conversation because it affects everything we do. We don't have any flashy advertisements. Our business comes from the fact that we are right here on the ground. The office has a few desks and some old chairs, and it gets pretty busy during the peak hours. We don’t use any corporate jargon. If a shipment is delayed, we just say so. We don't try to sugarcoat the realities of the transport business. It’s a lot of repetitive tasks, but it’s important work for the local economy. We just keep to our routine and make sure the goods get to where they are supposed to go without too much trouble. It is a simple operation and we like to keep it that way.
