Dcn Agarbatthi Industries is located at 16/13A in New Vasanth Nagar, on the 1st Main Road. We are quite close to the Vinayagar Temple and the Krishnagiri Bye Pass Road. You can usually tell you’re near our place because of the smell of the raw materials we use for making the incense sticks. It’s a very distinct scent that stays on your clothes even after you leave. The building is a basic industrial unit. Inside, we have rows of workers who are busy with the sticks, from dipping them to drying and packing them into boxes. It’s a labor-intensive process, and the rhythm of the work is quite steady. We have to be careful with the weather, because if it’s too damp, the drying takes forever. The proximity to the temple means we often hear the morning prayers while we are starting our shift. It’s a nice way to begin the day. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our space is taken up by the production line and the storage of the finished bundles. The Bye Pass Road nearby is always busy with trucks, so getting our supplies in is usually pretty quick. We are just a local industry doing our work. Our team is like a small family, and we’ve been at this for some time. We don’t make a big fuss about things. We just focus on getting the agarbatthis packed and ready for the market.
