Our place is at D.No.1-58 in Nandivada, which is a small post and mandal in the Krishna District. It’s actually the house of R. Padmavathi, who works as a teacher. It’s a quiet home in a village setting where we manage the business side of our construction company. You won’t find any glass elevators or big meeting rooms here. Instead, there’s a porch where we sit and talk about plans. The sounds of the village are always in the background, like cows or the neighbors talking. We deal with nirman work, which means we are always thinking about bricks, sand, and cement. The sun can be really strong in this part of Andhra Pradesh, so we do most of our heavy thinking in the mornings before it gets too hot. We keep all our records in simple cupboards. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we just write things down by hand. It’s a very local way of doing things. People in Nandivada know where to find us if they need anything. We don’t wear uniforms. We just dress for the weather and the work. It feels more like a family than a company most days. We share snacks and drink plenty of water to stay cool. It is just a small house in a small village, but it is where everything starts for us. We are just regular people trying to build things properly for the local area.
