You can find us over at Sukanta Nagar, care of Parbati Rajak. Krishna Rajak is also here most days helping out with the heavy lifting and the logistics. Our company, Swargapati Foods, is based in this building which has been around for quite some time. It’s a straightforward food supply business. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or air conditioning that works all the time, so we just keep the windows open for a breeze. The work involves a lot of counting and checking inventory to make sure nothing goes to waste. It’s a private limited company on the legal papers, but it feels more like a family workshop. We don't have big meetings or dress codes. Most of us just wear old shirts that we don't mind getting a bit of flour or dust on. Sukanta Nagar is a lively place, and there’s always something happening on the street outside. We have some regular delivery drivers who have been coming here for years, so we usually have a chat and some chai while they wait for the loading to finish. We don't do any big advertising campaigns. Most people find out about us through word of mouth or because they saw our sign on the street. It’s honest, practical work and we’ve gotten used to the daily rhythm of it. We just focus on doing our jobs and making sure the orders are ready on time without making a big fuss.
