Our office for Sushee Hi Tech Constructions Pvt Ltd is located in Narasimharaopalem, which is out by Chanubanda in Krishna District. Being out here means we spend a lot of time traveling between different sites in the area. It’s mostly about coordinating with the laborers and checking that the materials like sand and steel are up to what we need. It’s a bit of a trek for some deliveries to reach us, but that’s part of the job in this part of Andhra Pradesh. We don't spend much time sitting behind desks; mostly we’re out where the actual building is happening. There’s always a lot of noise and dust, and the sun can be quite brutal in the afternoons. We started this because we knew the area and saw how much work there was to be done. It’s practical work. No one here is trying to be a corporate executive. We just want to see the walls go up straight and the projects get finished. It’s a small operation in terms of the office side, but we stay busy enough. If you pass by our place, you’ll probably see a few of us drinking tea and looking over some blueprints. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do and we’ve been at it for a while now. We make sure the equipment is maintained and the site stays as clean as a construction zone can be.
