Our small office is located in Kothurtadepalli, which is a village in the Vijayawada Rural area. We’ve been here for quite some time, operating under the guidance of our family. It’s a humble place in Kamakotinagar where we handle project planning and land development. We don't have much in the way of fancy furniture. Our desks are old and covered in maps of Krishna district. We work on a variety of local projects, mostly focusing on what the people in the village and nearby areas need. It’s not like working in a big city office with air conditioning and coffee machines. We drink tea from the local stall and keep the windows open for a breeze. The work is mostly about being on-site and making sure the foundations are poured right and the walls are straight. We deal with the local weather and the seasonal changes that affect construction. Sometimes the supply trucks get stuck on the narrow roads, and we have to figure out a workaround. We don't use big words or try to act like we’re more than we are. We’re just a local business trying to do right by our neighbors. My family has lived here for generations, so our reputation in the village is what matters most to us. We just show up every morning and put in a full day's work on whatever project is currently on the books. It's a long day but the work is satisfying.
