Sri Lakshmi Casting Industries

We have been based at the end of 2nd Road in Jawahar Autonagar for a long time now. The business spans across plots 49, 50, 71, and 72. It is a big space but we manage to fill it up with all our casting equipment and raw materials. The noise from the furnace and the blowers is something you just get used to after working here for a few months. It is mostly sand, hot metal, and plenty of heavy lifting every single day. We do not have fancy air-conditioned offices or a reception area. Everything happens right on the floor where the work is. Sometimes the older machines act up and we have to spend the morning fixing them before we can start the pour. It is hard work making these parts and my hands are usually covered in grit by the time we break for lunch. Usually, the delivery trucks are lined up outside quite early in the morning, which keeps us on our toes. We just try to get the orders finished without making mistakes. The place gets very dusty and the heat is intense near the vats. That is just how a foundry operates. We have a decent crew here and most of the guys have been with us for years. We do not do much besides the casting work itself. Most of the day is spent checking the molds. It is not very glamorous but it keeps us busy.
