Savepro Social Welfare Foundation

We are located in Amruddi Lane, over in the Machuatoli area. You can find us through Sri Krishna Prasad, who is the son of Sri Shiv Pujan Ray. Savepro Social Welfare Foundation is basically a small group of us working out of this space. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls or anything. It’s more like a home office where we handle social welfare tasks. The lane can be a bit hard to find if you aren't from around here, but once you get to Machuatoli, just ask for Krishna Prasad. We deal with a lot of local issues and try to help the families around us. It’s messy work sometimes and we don't always have the answers right away. We use old desks and we have files stacked up in the corners. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don't have a big budget for fancy things. Most of what we do is just talking to people and trying to fix small problems before they get big. The neighborhood is lively and we are glad to be a part of it. Sometimes we work late into the night when there is a lot to catch up on. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall, we just show up and do what is needed in the lane. That is how we have always done things.
