Sankara Engg. Works Contractors Co. is tucked away on Padi Street. You can find us at 12/12-25/6. It isn't a large, fancy operation by any means. Mostly, it is just us working on different contract jobs that come our way. The shop floor is usually a bit messy with metal scraps and tools lying around. We spend most of our days dealing with repairs and fabrication work for various projects around the city. It gets pretty loud here when the machines are running, but that is just how it goes in this line of work. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. Most people around the street know who we are. We don’t really have a big reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us covered in grease or dust. We take on whatever work needs doing, whether it is a small fix or a bigger construction contract. The guys here have been doing this for years, so they know their way around the equipment. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the real work happens with our hands. It is a simple life on Padi Street. We open up early, get through the list of tasks, and head home when the job is finished. There is always something to weld or a part to fix.
