Sagar Cements has its main spot here in the Krishna district, specifically around the Vijayawada area. Our pincode is 520004, and we’ve been operating in this part of Andhra Pradesh for quite some time. We aren't a big, flashy company with a lot of layers. We’re pretty straightforward about what we do. We deal with cement, and that’s about it. The office is a busy place, usually with people coming in and out all day. It’s not very quiet, but that’s how we know things are moving. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or a handbook on how to talk to customers. We just talk to people like normal neighbors. The heat in Vijayawada can be pretty intense, so we usually have the coolers going full blast while we work on the ledgers. We don't use much in the way of fancy technology; we prefer to keep things simple and readable. Most of our clients are local builders and people fixing up their own houses. They know where we are and that we’ve been around the district for years. We don't do much in terms of promotion or trying to look bigger than we are. We just focus on getting the cement loaded and sent out to the sites. It’s dusty work and it keeps our hands dirty, but it’s a living. We’re just a regular local business in the heart of Krishna district.
