Nathmal Jee Foundation

You can find us at 5 Krishna Nagar, right off Sirsi Road, at Rekha Khaitan’s place. It’s a busy part of the city, and the traffic on Sirsi Road is almost constant. Our office is just a simple setup inside the house. We have a few chairs for when people visit and a long table where we do most of our planning and paperwork. It’s not the kind of place with a lot of shiny equipment. We have an old computer that takes its time to start up, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint eventually. Rekha is usually here, making sure we stay on track with the foundation’s goals. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that; we just wear what’s comfortable for the weather. The house gets a lot of light in the mornings, which is nice, but it can get a bit loud when the neighbors are out. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just talking through what needs to be done for the day. It’s a very hands-on environment. There’s no corporate ladder to climb here, just a small group of us trying to be useful. We keep things pretty low-key and don't really go for big announcements or fancy presentations. We just get on with it, one day at a time, making sure the foundation’s tasks get finished.
