My Home Cement Industries

We run My Home Cement Industries out of Vijayawada. Specifically, we are on Durgam Satyam Street. It’s a busy part of town and there is always a lot of movement. Being in the cement business means things are always a bit dusty and there are trucks coming in and out at all hours. We don't have a polished showroom or anything like that. Our space is for work. We have bags of cement, records of shipments, and a lot of phone calls to deal with. Vijayawada is a major hub, so we are right in the thick of the trade routes in Andhra Pradesh. It’s a demanding business because people always need their materials yesterday. We don't spend time on fancy talk or brochures. We just make sure the inventory is there and the orders are moving. The guys working here are all locals who know the industry well. It’s a tough environment, but it feels good to be part of the building process in the city. We see a lot of new construction happening and it keeps us on our toes. We don't have any big corporate mission statements. We just try to keep the supply chain going and stay on top of the orders. That’s a full-time job in itself. It is hard work but it keeps us busy and we like the pace of things here.
