Madhu Kirana Store

Madhu Kirana Store is located right on Gudivada Road in Amudalapally. It’s a quiet spot compared to the big cities, but there is always someone passing by on their way somewhere. We handle the basic things people need for their homes. Most of our days are spent weighing out things or stacking soaps and biscuits on the wooden racks. It isn't a huge place, just a simple room filled with the smell of spices and grains. When we first opened, we didn't have much, but slowly we added more items because the people living nearby asked for them. You will see sacks of rice near the door and jars of sweets for the kids who come by after school. My hands are usually busy with something, whether it is cleaning the counter or writing down what we need to order next. The road outside can get dusty, especially when the tractors go past, but we keep the shop going through the seasons. It’s hard work, standing all day, but seeing the same faces every morning makes it feel right. We don't have a big staff, just us working together to make sure the shelves aren't empty. It's just a regular store for regular folks who need their pulses and oils without having to travel too far into the main town. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use candles, but we don't close until the sun goes down and everyone is safely back home.
