Kona Food Products

Kona Food Products is set up at Plot No:36 in the Aleap Industrial Area. This is out in Surampalli, near Gannavaram. It’s a bit of a distance from the main hub, but it gives us the room we need for our things. The industrial area is specifically for entrepreneurs, so there’s a good sense of community among the owners. We all deal with similar issues like transport and labor. Our plot has a decent building on it where we do all our processing. It’s usually busy from Monday to Saturday. Sunday is the only day the machines are quiet and we can relax. Since we’re in Surampalli, we have a lot of workers from the local villages. They’ve been with us for a long time and we know them well. The office is just a small partitioned area near the entrance. We have a calendar on the wall that’s covered in notes and reminders. Gannavaram is growing fast because of the airport nearby, so things are changing around here. We see more traffic on the roads than we used to five years ago. We handle a variety of food items, and the smell inside is usually pretty good, depending on what we’re making that day. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that. We just focus on getting the product out to the stores. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going every day.
