You can find us out in Balliparru Village. It’s a quiet spot compared to the city, located in the Gannavaram Mandal area. Himaja Modern Rice Mill is where we spend our hours, specifically at Survey No: 31/1A. Running a rice mill involves a lot of dust and the constant sound of the machinery working through the grain. We are part of the Krishna district, and being close to Vijayawada helps with getting things moved around. It's a family-style environment here, even if we are registered as an LLP. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us making sure the rice is milled properly. The village of Veerapanenigudem is home for us. Some days the weather makes things tough, especially when it rains and we have to worry about the moisture. But mostly, it’s just a routine of getting the trucks in and out. The address is long, but once you get here, it’s just a regular mill. We take pride in the fact that we aren't some distant corporation. We’re right here on the ground, literally. Dealing with the local farmers and the harvest cycles is what our year looks like. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep the machines running and the bags filled.
