Hil

Way down in Andhra Pradesh, specifically at Door Number 11-29-12 in Vijayawada, is where you’ll find our office. The name on the door just says Hil. It’s an old building, but it’s sturdy and has seen a lot of seasons. Vijayawada is a humid place, so the air conditioner is usually rattling away in the background. We spend our days handling various bits of business that come through. There’s a lot of filing and checking of ledgers. It’s not the kind of place that has a modern design or glass walls. We have wooden desks that have been here since we opened. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and wait for the generator to kick in. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people heading to the market. We don't really do much advertising. People who need Hil products or services know where the building is. We have a small staff, and most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get things done. It’s a routine that we’ve perfected over the years. We take our lunch breaks together, usually eating spicy local food brought from home. It’s a simple setup, but it’s been working for us at this address for a long time. We hope to stay here for many more years to come. The work is steady and that's all we really ask for.
