Bimala Social Welfare Foundation

Bimala Social Welfare Foundation is located in Sri Krishna Nagar. We operate out of the home of Ram Vinay Mishra, who is the son of Ram Bharosh Mishra. It’s a very personal, local setup. We don't have a separate commercial building or a storefront. Using a residence as a base means things are a bit more relaxed than a traditional office. You might hear the normal sounds of a household while we are working on foundation business. It’s just how we have always done things. Sri Krishna Nagar is a familiar place to us, and being based here keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We don’t spend money on advertising or trying to look bigger than we are. We just focus on the social welfare tasks that need our attention. Ram Vinay helps keep everything organized. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls, mostly. We sit at the kitchen table or in the small front room to get through the day's mail and requests. It’s not fancy, and it’s certainly not corporate. We are just local people using what we have to run the foundation. If you came by, you’d see a regular house where work happens to be going on. That’s the reality of how Bimala Social Welfare Foundation functions.
