Our spot is B-101 in Krishna Heights, which is right over the Axis Bank in Malad East. It’s a busy corner of the world, that’s for sure. You can always hear the bank customers and the street noise coming up through the floor. The office is pretty straightforward. We’ve got a few desks, some chairs that aren't the most comfortable, and a lot of paper everywhere. Being in Malad means there’s always people moving around, and Upper Govind Nagar is usually buzzing with activity. We don't have a big sign outside or anything like that. Usually, people just find us by looking for the bank first and then heading upstairs. The air conditioning is a bit finicky and makes a rattling noise, so we have a couple of small fans to help out when it gets really humid. We spend our days mostly coordinating things and keeping track of the foundation’s work. It’s a lot of back and forth on emails and some local visits. We don't really have a set routine; things just happen as they come. Lunch is usually whatever someone picked up from the food stalls downstairs. It’s a tight space, and when we have a few visitors, it gets real crowded real fast. We just try to stay on top of the work and keep the files from falling over. It’s a plain, honest place to get things done, and we’re used to the noise by now.
