Apsrtc Booking Counter

This counter is right over by the Executive Club on Ring Road. Most folks know the spot because the Executive Restaurant is right there too, so it’s easy to find if you’re hungry or just passing through. We handle the bookings for the buses, which sounds easy enough until everyone shows up at once on a Friday evening. The office isn't anything special to look at. It’s got the usual counters and the screens that sometimes show the wrong times if the power flickers. We sit here and try to help people figure out which bus goes where and how much it’s going to cost them. It gets pretty loud with the traffic on Ring Road, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We deal with all sorts of people, from students going home to folks traveling for work. There is always someone asking about a bus that just left or one that hasn't arrived yet. We just do the work, print the tickets, and tell people which platform to go to. It’s a practical kind of job. We don’t have fancy coffee or soft chairs, just a place to get your travel sorted so you can get on with your day. Sometimes the printers jam, and we have to fix them while a line forms, but that’s just part of the routine here in Vijayawada. It is just a regular booking spot that stays open for the commuters.
