Our workshop is situated on the second floor of Thayyil Tower. We are right on YMCA Cross Road, which is a place most people in the area know quite well. Being on the second floor means we get a little bit of a break from the street noise, though it’s still a very active part of town. The building is an older one, and you have to walk up the stairs to reach us at 6/262H. Inside, it’s mostly just a lot of materials and tools scattered around where we do our creative work. We’ve been here for a while and the space has grown a bit crowded over the years with all the projects we’ve taken on. It isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s a place where we actually make things, so there is usually some mess and a bit of noise from the equipment. The light in the afternoon is actually pretty good through the windows, which helps when we are working on details. We are just a small group of people who enjoy making things and we like being in this part of the city. There are plenty of places nearby to grab a quick snack or a drink when we need a break. It’s a busy life at Thayyil Tower, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It takes time, but that’s just how the process goes for us.
