About Wadi Rahma English School – Education in Kozhikode
Out here on Karakkutty-Thadai Road, things are a bit quieter than in the main town. We are right in Kodiyathur, and most people around here know exactly where the school sits. It's a simple setup. We don't have those big fancy gates you see in the city. Mostly, it's just the sound of the wind and the kids talking between classes. The road out front gets a bit muddy when it rains, so we all end up with dirty shoes by the time we get inside. We have a few trees that give some nice shade in the afternoon. The teachers usually bring tea from home or grab something from the little shop down the way. It’s not a fast-paced place. We take our time with things. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the windows wider to let the air in. We’ve been part of this Kodiyathur community for a while now. Most of the families living along the road have some connection to us. It’s a local thing, really. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. Just a school on a road where people know each other’s names. You see the same buses go by every day at the same time. It’s predictable and steady, which is how we like it. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint soon, but for now, it feels like home to us. It is just Wadi Rahma English School.
