Thriveni Driving School

You can find us at Pudhiyedathu Arcade on Balan K Nair Road. We are quite close to the Muthappan Kavu Temple, which is a big landmark around here. This branch of Thriveni Driving School has been around for a bit. Calicut City is always busy, so teaching people to drive here means they get used to the traffic pretty quickly. We have our small office where we handle the registrations and the theory bits. Most of the day, though, the instructors are out with the students. It’s a lot of driving in circles and practicing parking in tight spots. We try to keep the cars in good shape, but with so many beginners, they take a bit of a beating. The staff here are just local people who know the roads well. We don’t have any fancy training simulators or anything like that. It’s just real cars on real roads. We get a lot of people from the neighborhood who walk over to sign up. It’s a practical business. We don't spend much on decorations or big signs. People know where we are. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with the temple crowds nearby, but we manage. We just keep things moving and help people get their licenses so they can get on with their lives. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy and we like the community here in Calicut.
