Star Associates

Out here in Meppayur, Koyilandi, things move at a bit of a slower pace than the big cities. Star Associates is our little business where we deal with local land and property. We don't have a big office block, just a modest space where we can sit down and talk. Most of the people who come to see us are from around the area or have family nearby. We know the local landscape pretty well, from the coconut groves to the plots near the road. The work involves a lot of visiting sites and checking boundaries. Sometimes we spend the whole morning just waiting for a surveyor or talking to a neighbor about a fence line. It’s not complicated work, but it requires being here and knowing the people. We keep our records in a few big folders, and there’s usually a pot of tea going. The weather can be quite damp sometimes, which makes the site visits a bit muddy, but we don't mind. We’ve been part of the Koyilandi community for a long time now. People know they can find us here if they have a question about a piece of land. We don't put on any airs. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. Every day is a little different depending on who walks in the door or what property just came on the market. We just keep at it.
