Spices Land

Spices Land is located at Kada House in the Madakkunnu Market area. We are right on the Kalpatta Road, very close to the Kalpetta Bus Stand. Being so close to the bus stand means there is always a crowd and plenty of activity around us. Our place is basically a warehouse and a small workspace where we deal with the local spices from this region. It's a very practical setup. We don't have any decorative stuff on the walls or a receptionist. We are usually busy unloading crates or sorting through dried peppers and ginger. The air in here is always strong with the scent of the hills. We don't spend time on big marketing plans. We just focus on the produce that comes in from the local farms. It can be a bit chaotic on market days when everyone is trying to move their goods at the same time. We’ve had our fair share of rainy days where the roof leaks a little, but we just fix it and keep going. We are just local people working in the spice trade. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. If you’re near the bus stand, you’ll probably see us moving bags around or talking to the drivers. It’s just how we do things here at Kada House. We don't have a fancy logo or a social media page, just the work we do in the market. It keeps us grounded and connected to the land around here.
