Sabrang Boutique

Sabrang Boutique is located right opposite the Head Post Office in Edodi, Vadakara. It’s a small shop, but we’ve got it filled with all kinds of fabrics and finished pieces. We spend most of our days either at the sewing machines or helping people pick out what they want. It’s not a high-end fashion studio. It’s just a local boutique where we make clothes that people actually wear. Being across from the post office is great because everyone knows where that is. The shop can be a bit of a mess with threads and fabric scraps on the floor, especially when we are busy with a big order. We don't have fancy mannequins or professional lighting in the windows. We just put out what we’ve been working on. It’s a small team of us, and we all know how to stitch and cut. Sometimes we have a lot of orders at once and we have to work a bit later than usual. We don't use fancy terms for our work, we just talk about the fabric and how it fits. The shop has that nice smell of fresh cloth and we always have the iron going. People from the neighborhood drop in to chat even when they don't need anything. It’s a friendly place, and we just enjoy making things that look good on people.
