Prarthana Nidhi Limited

Our place, Prarthana Nidhi Limited, is situated at Pullancherri Meethal in Nadakkuthazha, which is part of Vadakara in Kozhikode. It is a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address, but most people around here just know where the building is. The office is tucked away in a spot that feels very much like a part of the community. We don't have any big corporate logos or expensive furniture. It is mostly wooden desks and a lot of paper files because we still like to have things written down. The morning usually starts with a bit of cleaning and then we settle in for the day’s work. People from the village and nearby areas drop by to talk about their small savings or to ask about how the Nidhi system works. It is not a fast-paced environment. We take our time to explain things to the elders and make sure everyone understands what they are signing. Sometimes we share a few snacks during the afternoon break when the heat gets a bit much. The rain can be quite heavy in this part of Kerala, so we often have umbrellas drying near the entrance. It is just a modest office where we try to be helpful to the neighbors. We have been here for a while and we plan to stay right where we are in Nadakkuthazha.
