Malabar Institute Of Medical Sciences

Out here in Govindpuram Po, things are a bit different than the center of town. Malabar Institute Of Medical Sciences is a large place with a lot of moving parts. We have students, doctors, and patients all mixing together in the corridors. It is a bit of a maze if you are not used to it. The grounds are usually kept tidy but with so many people coming through, there is always something to fix. You hear the paging system going off every few minutes. It becomes background noise after you work here for a few weeks. The staff room is small and usually has someone napping in a chair between shifts. We see people from all over the region coming here. Some travel a long way. The local buses stop right near the entrance which is helpful. We go through a lot of coffee and tea. It is a serious place because of the work we do, but we still have a laugh when things are quiet. The paperwork is endless. We have rows of filing cabinets that are overflowing. Even with computers, we still seem to have paper everywhere. The weather here can be tough, especially during the rains. We just keep the doors open and keep working through it. It is a community here, even if it is a busy one. There is always something new to learn every single day.
