Louise Mount Hospital

We are situated out in Vythiri, specifically in the Chennalode area. The hospital is part of the landscape here in Kalpatta. It is a bit of a drive to get out to us, but it is very green and quiet once you arrive. The air feels a bit different than it does in the bigger cities, which is nice. The building itself has been here for some time and it shows its age in a comfortable way. We have the usual hospital rooms and a small area where people can wait. The staff mostly comes from the nearby villages and towns. We spend our mornings checking on things and getting the day started. There is a lot of walking back and forth between the different sections of the building. In the rainy season, you can hear the water hitting the roof quite loudly, which is just part of living in this part of the country. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the people who come in from the surrounding hills. It’s a simple life here. Sometimes things are a bit slow, and other times we are running around all day with no time to sit. We keep the place running as best as we can with what we have. It’s a straightforward medical facility without any of the extra polish or corporate talk you see in the city.
