Kairali Driving School

You can find our driving school in Balussery, which is part of the Kozhikode district. We have been teaching people how to drive on these Kerala roads for a long time. If you know the area, you know that the roads can be narrow and winding, which makes for a very good place to learn if you want to be a skilled driver. We do not have a fancy office with air conditioning and big signs. It is just a local spot where people come to sign up and get their learner's permits sorted out. We spend the majority of our hours in the car, going over the basics like how to use the clutch without stalling. It is a patient process. We see a lot of people from the town and the nearby villages. Everyone knows everyone here, so we have to do a good job or word gets around fast. We do not use any fancy marketing tricks. We just tell people when to show up and we go out for the lesson. It is a lot of manual work and we have to keep the cars in good shape because they get a lot of use every single day. The weather can be a bit rainy at times, but we still go out because you have to learn to drive in the rain too. It is just a regular local business run by people who know the roads.
