You can find Grainspot International Private Limited at Vellapparakkal House, which is No 1/B in Ward No 11B. We are in Koyilandi, which is a nice spot in the Kozhikode district of Kerala. Our work mostly revolves around grains—buying them, selling them, and making sure they are stored right. We use the ground floor of the house for most of our operations. It’s a very local way of doing things, I guess. We aren’t a big company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us who know about grain quality. People from the surrounding areas bring their harvests, and we see what we can do. Some days the yard is full of bags and it’s hard to even walk around. It gets pretty dusty when we are moving the rice or wheat, so we usually wear old clothes. Koyilandi is a good place to be because we are close enough to the main roads but still have that village feel. We’ve been doing this for a while now, and we’ve learned a lot about the different types of grains and which ones people like the most. It’s not complicated work, but it takes a lot of time and patience. We just try to be fair with everyone who comes through our gates. There’s no big corporate strategy here, just us trying to keep the business running and the grains moving to where they need to go for people.
