Over at Methal Veettil in Peediyekkal, which is part of Eranhikkal in Elathur, you’ll find us at Freshcut Proteins Private Limited. We deal with protein products, mainly meat, and we’ve been doing it from this location for a while now. The setup is pretty simple. We have our processing area and a place to keep things cold. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby. Usually, you’ll find us in our work gear, busy with the daily tasks of cutting and packing. Elathur is a nice place to work, though it can get pretty busy around the SO area. We get our supplies in early and spend most of the day making sure everything is handled right. There’s a lot of cleaning involved in this business, more than people might realize. We spend hours scrubbing down the surfaces every single day. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just cut meat and sell it. It’s physical work that leaves you tired at the end of the shift, but it’s honest. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a big headache for us because of the freezers, but we have backups to handle that. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work in front of us. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us since we first opened the doors at Methal Veettil. It is just a regular job that we do every day.
