We are based out in Adukkathmaruthonkara, which is a bit of a quiet area if you don't know it. The workshop is at Utharkandi. It’s a simple manufacturing setup. We don't have fancy machines that do everything for us. A lot of the work is done by hand. We started Ecoeats because we wanted to make things that actually matter for people around here. The road to the factory isn't always the best, especially when the monsoon hits and everything turns to mud. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place clean and organized. It’s hard work, and by the end of the shift, we’re all pretty tired. There’s a tea shop down the road where we usually go after we finish for the day. We talk about what needs to be fixed or what order needs to go out next. It’s not like those big factories in the city. We know our neighbors and they know us. Sometimes someone drops by just to say hello or ask what we’re making this week. We focus on the daily tasks. We aren't trying to change the world overnight. We just want to do a decent job today and hope tomorrow goes just as well. There’s always something to fix, like a leaky roof or a squeaky door, but we manage. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the tools we have.
