Our place is on the first floor of the Asfa Building, which is located in the Arayidathupal area on Mavoor Road. Specifically, we are in the Maniyattukudi part of the building. It is a busy road, and there is always something happening outside like buses honking and people walking by. We spend our days working with aluminium products, so there is usually a bit of noise from cutting or assembling things on the benches. Being on the first floor means we have to carry things up and down the stairs, which is a bit of a workout. The office part is just a small section partitioned off from the rest of the floor where we keep the computer. We have some samples of the frames and products we make scattered around the room for people to look at. The windows look out onto Mavoor Road, so we see all the traffic going by all day. It can get quite humid here in this part of town, so we have a few fans going all day long to keep the air moving so we don't sweat too much. We usually take our lunch break around one o'clock, sitting together and talking about things other than work. It is a simple, hardworking environment with no fancy corporate stuff going on, just people making things and trying to keep the orders on schedule. The building is easy to spot once you are near Arayidathupal. It is just how we do things.
