Cityfina Nidhi Limited is based in the Golden Chambers, which is at 18/208, D1 in Chalappuram. We are under the Kandamkulam P.O. area here in Kozhikode. The building is one of those steady places in the neighborhood. We’ve been here for a while, handling the daily paperwork for people’s savings and loans. It’s a pretty standard office with desks and chairs and the usual office supplies. The area around Chalappuram is quite busy, so there are always people walking past our door. We aren't trying to be a big bank or anything like that. We just provide a place for the local residents to put their money. A lot of our members are retired people or small shop owners from the nearby streets. We talk about the weather or the local news while we process their transactions. It’s a friendly atmosphere, even if we are busy with the ledgers. The office can get a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have the fans going. We keep our records very carefully because people trust us with what they’ve earned. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we take it one day at a time.
