Ayurlokam Clinic

Our clinic is called Ayurlokam, and it’s located right here in the Ayurlokam area. It’s a small setup, nothing like those big city hospitals you see on TV. We have two main rooms and a tiny bathroom in the back. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, to be honest, but we haven't found the time for it yet. Most of the day, it’s just me and my assistant here. We keep the medicine bottles on open shelves so we can reach them quickly. There is a specific smell of burnt herbs and sesame oil that hangs around the place constantly. I’ve grown to like it, though it’s strong for new people. We have a heavy wooden door that we keep open during the day to let some air in. The street outside is dusty, so I’m always sweeping the entrance. It’s a simple life running a clinic like this. We don't have a computer for billing; everything is written down in a big ledger with a blue pen. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we keep some candles and a flashlight handy. It’s not perfect, and things can be a bit disorganized when we are busy, but we manage. We’ve been here long enough that everyone in the street knows who we are and what we do without us having to say much.
