We are located over near the Beypore Mini Stadium, at No. 4/832 A on BC Road. It’s a busy area, especially when there’s a game or something happening at the stadium. We make shoes and sandals here. It’s a bit of a dusty environment because of all the materials we move around. Our small team has mostly been working with leather and rubber for a long time. The building is just a standard warehouse style place. We keep the machines running most of the day. Sometimes it gets quite loud inside. We don't really have a showroom, it’s more of a production spot. You can see the crates stacked up near the entrance waiting to go out. We supply to local shops mostly. Beypore is a good place for us because of the transport links. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit muddy, which is annoying for the trucks. We don't have fancy office chairs or a big sign. It’s just Aurchid Footwear. Making things that last is what we try to do. People around here know us for being steady. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The guys in the cutting section are the fastest. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out on time. It’s a lot of manual work, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid at the end of every month.
