Arikkulam Supermarket Llp is tucked away at Building No 8/106 A, Edavana House. It’s a local spot in Arikkulam, not too far from Koyilandy. We put this place together because we noticed folks had to travel a good distance just for basic kitchen supplies. It started small and it’s still pretty much that way. We aren't some big corporation with a lot of rules and manuals. If someone forgets their wallet and we know them, we just tell them to pay tomorrow. It’s a community thing. The shelves are filled with what people actually use around here every day. We don't stock fancy items that will just sit there gathering dust. Most days it’s just us and the regular customers talking about what’s happening in the village while they pick out vegetables. The building is an old house converted for the shop, so it has a bit of character, or at least that’s what we tell ourselves when the floor gets a little squeaky. It can get a bit cluttered when new stock arrives on Tuesday mornings. We try our best to keep things tidy but the priority is just getting the goods out where people can find them. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay for much longer. It’s honest work and we like being our own bosses. It keeps us busy from dawn till dusk every single day.
