Vanajyotsna Arts & Crafts

Down in the basement floor of the Skyline Citadel is where you’ll find Vanajyotsna Arts & Crafts. We are right opposite the Plantation Corporation on K.K. Road. It’s a bit of an unusual spot, being in the basement and all, but it actually works out well for us. It stays a bit cooler down here, which is nice when we are working on our projects. We have all sorts of materials scattered around the place—paints, fabrics, wood, and whatever else we need for the day. It’s definitely not a polished corporate office. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. You can usually find us covered in a bit of dust or glue by the afternoon. Being across from the Plantation Corp means there’s a lot of traffic on K.K. Road, but it’s quiet enough once you step down into our space. We started this because we liked making things with our hands, and that’s still what we do every day. We don't really have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just enjoy the process of crafting and seeing a project through to the end. The Skyline Citadel is a big building, so we tell people to just look for the basement stairs. It’s a humble little corner of the world, but we like it here. There’s always something new to work on, and that keeps us busy.
